Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah: Economic Development

The Director of Economic Development for the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah acts under the direction of the Tribal Council as liaison to area planning councils and governments. The department is dedicated to providing planned economic growth and sustainable, stable business opportunities and jobs for the Tribe and its members.

The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah includes many factions and efforts. Water rights, cultural preservation, land development opportunities, leases, contracts, grants, road maintenance, energy development projects, environmental protection, and business partnerships are all a part of the planning package. Our desire to build and operate a Tribal Cultural Center and Museum continues to be one of the main goals.

As we look ahead seven generations, we wish to see those children of our children maintain the values of love, family, health, education, and respect for the earth and all it is made of. This we can pass to them through our unity, strength, and cultural enhancement programs. Preservation of the Paiute Culture for future generations will depend on our success with these goals and, like the circle of life, success of these goals will depend on our dedication to the Paiute Culture.

As we move into future generations, we would like to offer the opportunity for you to help. We have two areas of development that will need public support if we are to achieve our “Seven Generations Goal.” You can help by donating to our Scholarship Program or to our Paiute Culture Preservation Fund.

Cultural Center – Museum Program
Preservation of the history and culture of the Paiute People will be the guide by which we measure our growth and success in future generations. Without a window into the past there can be no guiding light to the future. We must look ahead seven generations and plan our future with a solid foundation measured by past experiences of success or failure. We will need a place where our people can display our history and culture for future generations, a place to see where we came from, a place where we can show the way to successful development and growth for the future. Your donation to this fund can help preserve a way of life that has been harmonious with the environment – a way that has shown respect for the Earth for thousands of years. Please help us preserve this valuable asset by donating now. Donations can be sent to:
